About Me

My name is Wendy, I am an associate marriage and family therapist (AMFT). My goal as your therapist is to provide a welcoming environment and join you with empathy and authenticity so you can have the space to grow and reach your goals. My clinical work thus far has focused on working with couples, BIPOC, and individual adult clients across the lifespan; all facing a range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, loss, relationship issues, and identity exploration.

My Approach

My approach is eclectic. So what does that mean?
I use a variety of tools and orientations that work for you, not the other way around. Some of these approaches can include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, and client centered focused.

We will talk to see what comes to light to determine the best approach. I will ask questions and explore with you about your past and assess how it may affect your current functioning in life. Assisting with communication skills, assertiveness training, developing healthy coping strategies, creating healthy boundaries, and highlighting strengths.
